Project Overview
At a manufacturing facility, a 4600 × 4500 mm opening was located below pipes and cable trays, with limited space above and behind the opening. LEFAST installed a customized HSD4322 with a vertical oval spiral track, fitting the available space while meeting the site's insulation, sealing, and operating requirements.
Challenge
The opening was 4600 × 4500 mm, and each opening and closing cycle had to be completed within 20 seconds, making a high-speed door suitable for the application.
The facility also required good insulation and sealing, which led to the selection of the HSD4322 high-speed spiral door.
The installation space was more difficult. The obstacles were only 300 mm above the opening, while the space between the obstacles and the wall was less than 750 mm. A standard round spiral track could not fit below the obstacles, while a standard oval spiral track could not fit within the available depth.
Raising the opening height would allow either configuration to avoid the obstacles, but would also increase the customer's site modification cost.
LEFAST Solution
LEFAST customized the HSD4322 with a vertical oval spiral track, requiring only 622 mm of installation depth, so the door could fit the existing space without raising the opening.
The HSD4322 provides insulation and sealing with its thermally broken door panel and multiple sealing points.
For safety, the door uses two pairs of infrared sensors, a safety airbag, and manual opening in case of power failure.
The servo control system allows adjustable speed and closing delay. For this project, the door was set at 1.2 m/s opening speed, 0.8 m/s closing speed, and a 10-second closing delay.
Results
The customized HSD4322 fit the existing installation space without raising the opening, avoiding additional changes to the building structure.
The door now provides the required insulation and sealing while completing each operation within the required time, giving the production area a practical and reliable access solution.
