High-Speed Rolling Door Retrofit for Existing Steel Roller Shutters
11 HSR high-speed rolling doors added to improve frequent daily access.
Project Overview
The facility already had steel roller shutters installed indoors. The shutters were slow to open and close and could not meet the needs of frequent daily operation. LEFAST installed 11 HSR high-speed rolling doors outside the existing shutters.
Challenge
The existing steel roller shutters were still in use, but their opening and closing speed was too slow for the current operation.
The customer wanted to add high-speed doors rather than remove the existing shutters. Since the steel shutters were installed indoors, there was no suitable space for the new doors on the inside, so the HSR doors had to be installed outside.
The site has relatively small temperature differences throughout the year, so high insulation performance was not a key requirement. The main considerations were opening speed, frequent operation, installation conditions, and cost.
LEFAST Solution
LEFAST installed 11 HSR high-speed rolling doors on the outside of the existing steel roller shutters.
The original shutters were kept in place. The HSR doors handle the frequent opening and closing during daily operation, while the existing shutters can remain open when the entrances are in regular use.
Considering the site's climate and actual requirements, the HSR was selected as a suitable option without adding the cost of a higher-insulation door.
Results
11 HSR high-speed rolling doors were added to the existing entrances.
The original steel roller shutters remain in place, while the HSR doors provide the faster operation required for daily use.
