Project Overview

The maintenance workshop needed a door with good insulation and sealing, fast opening and closing. The opening had enough space on both sides and above, but the wall above the opening was set back by more than 1 m. LEFAST used this space to design a reverse-mounted HSD4322 spiral door.

Challenge

The door is used as a passage in the maintenance workshop. Fast operation, insulation, and sealing were required.

There was enough installation space on both sides and above the opening. However, the wall above the opening was not on the same plane as the opening, creating a depth of more than 1 m directly above it.

The customer also wanted the door to look flat from both sides after installation.

LEFAST Solution

LEFAST selected the HSD4322 high-speed spiral door for its insulation, sealing, and fast operation.

The more than 1 m of space above the opening was used for the spiral door installation. LEFAST designed a reverse-mounted configuration to suit the irregular wall structure.

With this arrangement, the door could be installed without changing the existing wall structure, while keeping the door surface flat on both the inside and outside of the opening.

Results

The HSD4322 spiral door fits the irregular opening and uses the available space above the door for installation.

The finished door meets the requirements for insulation, sealing, and fast operation while keeping a flat appearance on both sides.
