Equipment rooms and lifting openings must accommodate large equipment installation, maintenance, and replacement while maintaining thermal insulation and environmental control during normal operation.
LEFAST provided an HSD4322/HSD6022 High Speed Spiral Door solution for an industrial equipment room, combining equipment access, environmental protection, and operational visibility through a customized track design.
Challenge
The equipment room provided approximately 7 meters of height and 7 meters of overhead length, with an opening size of approximately 6 m × 6 m. The access system needed to support large equipment handling while maintaining thermal insulation and sealing performance.
In addition, operators required visual access to equipment status without opening the door, creating additional requirements for visibility and structural strength.
LEFAST Solution
LEFAST developed a customized L-shaped spiral track configuration. The door first travels vertically for approximately 6 meters, then moves horizontally for approximately 7 meters before entering the spiral parking section.
Four transparent vision panels were integrated into the seventh door panel to provide clear visibility of equipment operation. Additional reinforcement hinges were incorporated to enhance structural strength and long-term reliability.
Results
The solution provided efficient access for large equipment handling while maintaining thermal insulation and sealing performance.
Customized track design, vision panels, and reinforced structural elements combined equipment access, environmental control, and operational visibility into a single integrated system.
