Project Overview

In traditional industrial facilities, insulated steel swing doors are still widely used, but they often result in low efficiency, frequent manual operation, and energy loss in high-frequency forklift access scenarios.

LEFAST provided a retrofit solution for Tianneng Battery, integrating HSR1000 High Speed Doors on the interior side of existing insulated doors, improving both access efficiency and thermal performance without removing the original door system.

Challenge

The existing insulated steel swing doors require manual operation, resulting in low efficiency during forklift access.

Extended door opening leads to increased energy loss and unstable indoor conditions. The key challenge was to improve access efficiency and thermal performance without replacing the original door system.

LEFAST Solution

LEFAST installed HSR1000 High Speed Doors on the interior side of existing insulated swing doors, preserving the original structure and thermal insulation while adding automated access control.

During operation, the swing door remains open and the HSR1000 handles fast opening and closing for forklift traffic. Outside working hours, the swing door is closed to maintain thermal insulation.

Radar-based detection enables automatic activation, improving access efficiency and reducing manual operation.

Results

The retrofit solution upgraded the access system without removing existing doors, significantly improving forklift efficiency.

It also balances energy efficiency and thermal insulation while reducing manual operation, delivering a cost-effective upgrade solution.
