Project Overview
This project is located in a frozen food warehouse where the owner wanted to improve thermal insulation while keeping the existing building structure unchanged. The cold storage entrance serves pallet and forklift traffic throughout daily warehouse operations.
Instead of adopting a traditional two-door configuration, LEFAST provided a single RCS5000 double sliding cold storage door to simplify the overall entrance solution.
Challenge
The completed building structure limited available installation space beside the opening, making a single-side sliding door impractical. A conventional two-door system with a buffer room would also require additional construction work, increasing both project cost and installation complexity.
The challenge was to achieve effective thermal insulation within the existing site conditions.
LEFAST Solution
LEFAST recommended the RCS5000 double sliding cold storage door, which requires significantly less side installation space by dividing the opening into two sliding leaves. The solution delivers reliable thermal insulation while eliminating the need for additional buffer-room construction and secondary door systems.
Results
The project achieved an efficient cold storage entrance using a single insulated door solution. By reducing installation constraints and avoiding additional civil work, the customer obtained a simpler, more cost-effective system without compromising cold chain performance.
